Ahhhh…never mind the crazy weather or the dead of winter, these two pulled off one incredibly beautiful St. Louis Central Library and Forest Park engagement session! When I first visited on the phone with Amanda’s mom, Cathy, to set up their session, I knew I would immediately love all of them. And I did. Harlen had just proposed to Amanda two days before we all met, so they were both beaming with that newly engaged glow. When love is in the air, not much else matters, and that is exactly how it was with this stunning pair. I had left for their session in the rain with some umbrellas in my back seat, as Harlen was only in town for a short time, so we were pretty locked in on the date. But the had rain cleared when I pulled into my parking spot, and the sun even decided to make an appearance. Central Library is grand and amazing in and of itself, and it was the perfect place to begin. We did it all–both inside and out–and then headed to Forest Park for the second half of our time together. Forest Park is always gorgeous, no matter what time of year, and because of the weather, it felt like we had the place largely to ourselves. Cue some guitar playing, a couple of pictures with Amanda’s parents, and all the things…it felt a bit like heaven.
Wedding bells will be ringing for Amanda and Harlen this July, and I am over the moon to be their wedding photographer. Some stories are simply pure and beautiful…I have no doubt their wedding day will be full of love and laughter and joy.
