You couldn’t have asked for a better day in December to tackle senior pictures at Forest Park! We took Andrew’s senior portraits along with his family’s pictures on this gorgeous afternoon (see that session HERE), so he had not only my camera in his face–but also his three sisters there cheering him on! 😉 And he was fabulous through all of it! Senior pictures always signify such a milestone moment, and this particular one marks the start of TWO new seasons for his family. Not only is Andrew officially stepping into adulthood–as the youngest sibling in his family, he is ushering in a new season for his parents as well. Soon they will have their last child graduate from high school. Talk about an accomplishment and a milestone to celebrate!
I love getting to visit the families I photograph in their homes before the session takes place when I get the chance. It really helps me envision what they are wanting as we work through the details of what will not only look beautiful in the end, but what will also display beautifully in their homes. With this family, Jenni already had a display of each of her daughter’s senior pictures on her shelves. So I knew EXACTLY what was needed to fill in that fourth place next to his sisters. My mom still has each her kids’ senior pictures hanging on her wall, and my guess is yours might, too. My own kids are sure to point them out when we are back in my hometown visiting my parents. Knowing THAT is what I love to think about as I deliver finished canvases and prints to my clients. Yes, Andrew’s family will enjoy the artwork of his senior pictures at Forest park along with their family portraits in the days ahead. But someday, a future generation will grace their home and enjoy these portraits as well. And that is where I believe these moments captured now move from VALUABLE to PRICELESS.
Many blessings to you, Andrew and Ziebarth family!
