Chesterfield’s Central Park turned out to be a fabulous place for family pictures I discovered back when the school year was just kicking off. I hadn’t met this beautiful family before the day of their session, but I quickly resonated with Kara’s reason for wanting to have updated portraits. They were about ready to board a plane to Scotland, as that is where their firstborn daughter would begin her freshman year at college. Yes, I would say THAT is a great motivation to pull some outfits together and coordinate schedules to get everyone in front of the camera! I had recently dropped my firstborn off for his freshman year days before this session. However, leaving my son in his new dorm room forty-five minutes from home is a little different than crossing an ocean. But it was clear within about two seconds of meeting Natasha that she was going to do great anywhere she landed–so off to Scotland it is!
We had a gorgeous night in Chesterfield to work our way around the park, and I love how their blues popped against the backdrop of green. I told Kara when she was here for her viewing and ordering appointment that I’m pretty sure people are going to have a hard time knowing who is the mother and who are the daughters–they look like they are three sisters! As you scroll down through our favorites, I bet you’ll agree!
