This was a first for me–an engagement session! And Tommy and Zerin made the perfect couple to dip my toes in the waters of engagement pictures! We photographed their session this past September at Central Park in Chesterfield, which gave us plenty of fabulous options to work with. And when Zerin mentioned bringing along a traditional Bangladeshi dress to kick off our time, I was thrilled. It was a warm evening, and I made them hike all over the park–but they certainly didn’t seem to mind! As you can see below, I think it was well worth the effort!
I am not a wedding photographer. There are many reasons for this, and in another life I know I would love photographing weddings because wedding photography is gorgeous! However, I am making ONE exception to my “no weddings” policy for these two. And I’m thankful that I have a small team of photographers to do this with me to make sure I have my bases covered! For those of you who know my family and Tommy’s family, you’ll understand why I’m making this exception. And I couldn’t be more excited. In fact, I’m tempted to go dig up a picture of Tommy and my son, Daniel, on a teeter-totter at our church’s family camp from years ago when they were about four. Maybe that is the reason why I both smiled and cried when I put this particular gallery together.
These two busy Missouri S&T students (Zerin majoring in mechanical engineering and Tommy in computer engineering) were home for Thanksgiving, and so we finally sat down together to go through their slideshow of portraits. I always like to ask for favorites so that I might include them in a blog post. Well, they narrowed them down to TWENTY-NINE! I guess that is a good problem, right? So I took the liberty of narrowing them down further, as I know I’ll be posting their entire session on video soon after. Hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
I’d love to visit with you about capturing you or someone you love. Connect with me HERE for details.
