If ever there was a time to pull together photographing an extended family session, this was the time for this precious family. So much to talk about, but I’m not going to. Tonight I’m going to keep it short and sweet because one of these family members has been deployed since having these portraits taken. And I, for one, can’t wait for him to see these images of his family! I can only imagine how much he misses them. And as his bride sat with me for a bit tonight, I know that she and their kids are missing him, too. Military life isn’t easy, and I am so grateful for those who make the sacrifices on our behalf.
Life is precious. We never know what tomorrow will bring. Hug those who are with you tonight. And pray for those who aren’t.
Here are just a handful to get us started. I’ll be posting their video soon, as well–I just need to feed my kids first! Frozen pizza, anyone?
