When Julia got in touch with me about a family session and sent me some pictures of the acreage where they lived, I knew there was no doubt where their session needed to take place! And it couldn’t have been a more perfect afternoon. She told me she wasn’t sure I’d get anything great of one boy in particular, as he hasn’t been super happy in front of the camera lately. In fact, she sent me some pretty hilarious pictures before their session to prove her point. So I had fun at their ordering appointment watching Julia and Greg have a hard time choosing their favorite of this particular little guy–there were too many darling ones of him to pick from! In fact, all the boys were fantastic. Not only did we get fabulous individual portraits of each one, but we also had a handful of the four together that couldn’t have turned out any sweeter. If you scroll down to the second wagon picture below, I’ll give you the story behind this particular capture. One of the boys was always putting his hand up to his chin when I would take his picture. So we decided to have them all follow suit by working the “Joe pose.” I still chuckle every time I see that picture–and I think their mom and dad do, too! Did they print it?
You bet they did!
And the family portrait? The one that will hang over their fireplace? Scroll on down because it is in here. Their fine art prints arrived today and I was able to drop them by this afternoon. It is even more beautiful in print and I can’t wait to see it hanging right along with these others on their walls! And I just may have ordered a metal print of a portrait from this family session to display in my OWN home office…any guesses as to which one I chose?
