A golden-hour Faust Park maternity session? Yes, please! Add to the mix an absolutely darling couple, and you have everything you need to pull off a stunning gallery of maternity portraits. Please forgive me, but my thoughts immediately go back to Ben’s teenage years–when he made sure there were Hot Pockets in my freezer and Super Smash Brothers on my TV screen, as he would stay up with my husband into the wee hours of the night playing video games. Even then, I knew he would one day take on fatherhood like a champ, as my young kids completely adored him. And there is no doubt his beautiful bride is ready for motherhood–I’m sure the children she takes care of as a nanny would agree with me! I must say, as Emily is a photographer herself, it was an honor to photograph these last sweet days of her pregnancy. And of course a little unnerving, as she more than anyone can see any of my mistakes! Thankfully, she is nothing but a gracious soul.
I am over the moon to meet their little guy VERY soon. And I am also excited that Emily will be joining me to photograph my own son’s wedding in May. It is a busy and exciting time for each of our families, as they soon will be welcoming their firstborn and we soon will be launching ours. So stay tuned, as I will be posting more of these significant events in the weeks to come.
