I can’t even begin to explain how much I LOVED being in Iowa for Maia’s senior session! As you may know from my earlier posts, Albia, Iowa, is one of two of my childhood hometowns. I hadn’t been back for at least 20 years, so I had TONS of fun racing through my old stomping grounds reminiscing as I was taking Maia’s pictures. Albia’s historic square is a photographer’s dream, if you are ever in the area, you definitely want to stop by and check it out! And snapping shots by the newspaper office, the ally next to the theater, and driving past my old church on the way to the Paxton property for more pictures certainly took me down memory lane. What a fabulous place to have a childhood! As for Maia’s session, I feel like we did it all–pictures at the square, pictures at Maia’s grandparents’ property, sunset pictures at Rathbun Lake, and finishing up with pictures in the Albia gym. As you’ll see, she knocked every last one out of the park. It felt like a fly-by for me, as I got into town about 5 minutes before we started, and I had to bolt out of town right after to get to a wedding. But it was amazing, and epic, and exactly as I had hoped it would be. Scroll on down to see some of my favorites…
