When Jacob said he wanted an urban session for his senior pictures, I was absolutely thrilled! I grabbed my camera, my light, and my husband to head downtown to meet Jacob and his dad. I already knew I would loving photographing this senior, as I just recently finished his sister Beth’s engagement pictures (click HERE to see Beth and Tyler’s gorgeous session). To say Jacob did an incredible job would be an understatement. Taking senior pictures isn’t high on any teenage guy’s priority list, but Jacob smiled from the beginning through the very end. And believe me, I had him trekking ALL OVER the place! There were too many great possibilities to pass up, so we didn’t. I told his mom that he needs to go ahead an record an album with that guitar of his, because I’m pretty sure that in his rather large gallery we have an album cover in there somewhere!
I never feel right calling clients the term “clients” because they always feel more like friends by the time everything is said and done with a session. And it is certainly true for this family. I’m excited to see them again for a wedding this May–just ONE WEEK after Jacob graduates from high school. I do think his mom deserves a week at the spa after a graduation AND a wedding!
