Oh my, oh my…Jade and Colin are married and they had the most gorgeous July wedding day–I am still in awe. They were the first couple on my schedule to get hit with the Covid mess of having to reschedule, and I was holding my breath for them as their new date approached. What was supposed to be a cool spring wedding day became a very warm July afternoon, and it seriously couldn’t have been any more beautiful. Everyone rose to the occasion, and I didn’t hear a single complaint about the heat from anyone celebrating their day. Jade and Colin’s friends are an absolute blast, and I didn’t have to work to keep them entertained out in the heat one bit! They came up with their own posing fun, and I still am laughing as I’m editing through their gallery of images! It is clear that these two are so loved and so much fun.
They began their day getting ready with Lalo Salon at the Drury Inn, and then transitioned to their ceremony at the historic St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Charles. I don’t think I have met a more chill bride than Jade, who was happily munching on potato chips and chatting with her bridesmaids twenty minutes before their ceremony! The ceremony was stunning in every way. And before we headed to the reception, we took a detour with Perfect Touch Limo to the Lewis & Clark Boathouse to take bridal party pictures out in the full heat of summer. You can’t tell the crazy temperatures from these pictures because the bridal party was having too much fun for a little July sun to slow them down! The reception at Old Hickory Golf Club was amazing…the food, the delicious cupcakes from SugarBot Sweet Shop, the dancing with High Class DJs, the friends…all of it. But can I just say that my favorite part of their incredible day was the INCREDIBLE SUNSET!! If you know me at all, I’m always looking for the dramatic image, and the sky that night certainly cooperated with us. (Which reminds me, a huge shout out to my second photographer, Emily Taylor, and my assistant, Anna, for hanging with me that day. Emily, you are magic. And Anna, you know how to keep up with your crazy mom and understand everything I need without me having to say it. I’m so glad to have you both on my team!)
