Timeless. Classic. Black & White. For each and every portrait session I do, I want to create something that won’t ever go out of style. Something that features what should be the centerpiece of art that hangs in each family’s home. Or maybe I should correct myself and say WHO should be the centerpiece hanging in every home! And there’s something about a classic black and white portrait that fits the bill, isn’t there? That said, I want to introduce you to most of my nieces and nephews. I had the privilege of photographing all but two of them when we were back in Iowa this summer. I couldn’t have been more thrilled! So you will be seeing a lot of portraits of those who are dear to me these next few days now that I have been back to share these portrait galleries with their families.
And in honor of each of these precious faces who let me put them in front of the camera lens, I’ve decided to add a category to my website for portraits such as these. I’m calling it what it is: Timeless–Black & White. You should click on the title and go check it out! It is such a simple set-up that gives fantastic results, and I would love to create portraits like this for you or someone you love! After I put in the orders for each of these families, I plan to put in one of my own. I just informed my husband I’m going to dedicate a wall in my home to the classic black & white portraits of my nieces and nephews–and of course, my seven children as well. He’ll need to get out his hammer and nails while I tackle the hardest part–choosing which ones to print and hang up!
