You couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful St. Louis wedding day or a more wonderful couple to photograph for my first wedding! After Tommy and Zerin’s engagement session last fall (click HERE for that session), wedding plans were in full swing–both for them and for me! These two were just a week out of finals as they said their vows May 19th at St. Paul’s Evangelical Church. I LOVED all the ways Zerin tied in her Bangladeshi roots, from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the traditional henna and bracelets. Every last piece was stunning!
As many of you know, the groom’s family has been very near and dear to my family ever since we moved to St. Louis more than sixteen years ago. Yes, you’ll notice my son, Daniel, as one of the groomsmen. That is why I said an emphatic YES to photographing this wedding in particular. I would love to write up all the memories I have stemming back to when Tommy was just a little guy, but that would take me awhile. Instead, let’s just suffice it to say my heart was full to overflowing watching how God orchestrated knitting the hearts and souls of the people who came together in celebration of this wedding day. There are many of us who are excited to watch Tommy and Zerin’s journey together as husband and wife, and I am more than blessed to have been entrusted with capturing their special day.
Because so many details must come together for a wedding day, I’d like to take a minute to recognize those who helped make this day fabulous. First, I want to thank my incredible photography team. As soon as I agreed to photograph this wedding, I wanted to put a team together to make sure we had everything covered. Many wedding photographers have a second shooter, but we had FOUR and I loved having them all on board. They were amazing, and I am grateful for all their effort and expertise. Thank you to Erin Wodicker and Armand & Theresa Brucker! Another round of applause goes to the following:
Wedding Coordinators: Jannet Dieckgraefe and Lynn May
Flowers: Denise Gerstung
Brownie Tree: Kevin Martin
Brownies: Sara Martin
Catering & Helpers: Sara, Connie, and Louann
One more thing to note as I came home from this beautiful day. Will I now start photographing weddings?
Yes, I am excited to add St. Louis wedding photographer to my name–as I completely fell in love with capturing such a incredible life milestone. I am currently in the process of designing wedding packages and will be ready VERY SOON to start talking details! If you know of anyone looking for a St. Louis wedding photographer, please send them my way. Of course, have them tell me who sent them as I’d love to know whom to send my thanks!
But in the meantime, take a minute to look through some favorites of Tommy and Zerin’s beautiful gallery…
We would love to hear from you–especially if you know this beautiful couple. Leave them a comment in the comment section!
