Nick and Erina couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding day at the BRAND NEW Romaine Valley wedding venue! In fact, this stunning couple was the very first wedding held at this incredibly gorgeous venue! We began photographing our day in a bridal suite fit for a queen. Snacks, music, make-up, friends–everything that goes into the hustle and bustle of getting ready for a wedding day was on point. While most wedding days follow a similar schedule, it’s the people and details that make each wedding day unique and beautiful. Once Erina was in her gorgeous gown, we did a first look with her dad. I know I say this every time, but first looks with dads are one of my favorite parts of the day. This one was certainly no exception.
After Erina and her dad had a few minutes together, she and Nick did a first touch and prayer just outside the entrance of the chapel. It’s such a sweet time to pause together without actually seeing each other before the ceremony. It gave them a moment to connect and breathe it all in. Of course, family and friends filled the chapel for the beautiful ceremony and then stayed after for one incredible reception. Talk about some of the best food around–for this particular wedding I KNEW it would be! Games and prizes kept everyone celebrating throughout the afternoon, it was a blast getting to be a part of it!
Before I get to the pictures, I want to give another HUGE thank you to my assistant photographer for the day. Erin Wodicker helps capture the day beautifully, and I always love having her along. This time both Erin and I brought our daughters to assist, as we were trying some new things that day and I absolutely LOVED having Lucy and Elizabeth there with us. I’m looking forward to putting this team together again soon!
