Ellie and Christopher’s Berkshire Ridge wedding was nothing short of a dream. Everything was so beautiful…every detail…every soul. Oh, these two are SO VERY LOVED…and you could feel all the love and joy in the air as soon as you stepped on the grounds. If I could’ve bottled that up and sent it to everyone I knew, the world would be a better place. Yes, it was THAT kind of wedding.
Ellie reached out to me after she and Christopher were engaged (you can see their engagement session HERE) and asked if I would consider photographing their wedding. Just her email alone made me want to see if her family would move into my neighborhood, she is SO kind and SO sweet. Hearing about their love story reminded me a little of my own. A young couple, a supportive family, and faith in the One who brought them together and who will always hold them steady. Simple and profound. She didn’t even need to sign on the dotted line, I couldn’t wait to be there. And from the feel of their stunning August wedding day, neither could anyone else. Ellie and Christopher spoke their vows to each other and before God, then they began the rest of their forever. I never tire of capturing that kind of love.
Before I go, I must say their wedding venue was gorgeous! Berkshire Ridge is a beautiful location with plenty of space to enjoy friends and family. As a former rural Iowa girl, having a pasture of cows right over the fence from the wedding ceremony felt like heaven. I’d go back in a heartbeat!
And to Emily, my assistant photographer…and Mayci, their videographer I had only met that day, I couldn’t have loved spending the day with you two more! Having a strong team who is fun and makes everything beautiful is ALWAYS the frosting on the wedding cake.
