Did I get to travel to my home state for a GORGEOUS Iowa farm engagement session??? Why, yes! Yes, I certainly did! And do I get to go back to Iowa next fall to photograph Kourtney and Cody’s big day? You bet I do! I can’t tell you how excited I was about this session. And thanks to some friends of Kourtney’s family who own a farm on the outskirts of Pella, we were in heaven. Kourtney called me when I was traveling up from St. Louis for their session and asked me about feeding the cows just before sunset…let’s just say she gets me. Now I will get to add a sunset engagement picture with COWS to my website and I’m not sure I could come up with anything better.
Even though I didn’t make it as far as my home in Manning, everything about this place and evening felt like home. And we will be sure those wedding pictures next year will be taken on the Grimm’s own pasture land and I can’t wait! For those of you who know Kourtney and Cody, this is them. My mom met me at a hotel in Des Moines right after this session (as I got to photograph my brother propose to his girlfriend the very next day) and she so she watched these images upload to my computer. “This is SO Kourtney,” she kept saying over and over again.
