When your relationship begins at the Danforth Plant Center, it only makes sense that you have a Danforth Plant Center wedding! Mariah and Steve had a gorgeous day–styled completely unique to them. These two are scientists and I loved them as soon as I met them for their engagement session last winter. While not a scientist myself, I am married to one. And it was fun that we both have been a part of the Washington University and the University of Iowa research systems. Needless to say, I was completely geeking out over their wedding decor–flasks and florals–does it get any better than that???
It was amazing getting to see where they met; and the frosting on the cake was taking wedding pictures in the lab where they had done research. The wildflowers outside were stunning and made the perfect backdrop for their day. These two have a wonderful group of friends, their bridal party was super chill and so much fun. They all certainly made my day easy. Steve alone kept Emily and I laughing, you’ll be able to see from the pictures below exactly why. I can only image these two having a fabulous lifetime ahead. So much love. So much joy. So much laughter.

I do want give a HUGE thanks to my assistant photographer, Emily Taylor, for spending the day with me at Mariah and Steve’s wedding. Emily is the sweetest soul, and ALWAYS so creative.
