I ALWAYS love when I get a call about photographing a Sunset Bluffs wedding, and Leslie and Quinton’s wedding was nothing short of stunning. As we pulled into Sunset Bluffs the day before Easter, it already promised to be a beautiful day. Spring was in the air and I was ready to jump into the hustle and bustle of wedding day preparations. The bridal suite is always a busy place to be, and when we walked in, we not only met our gorgeous bride–but also Leslie and Quinton’s ADORABLE daughter. As Leslie was getting her hair and makeup done, someone else was having the BEST time checking out the twirl of her flower girl dress in the mirror. In the middle of all of it, I got to photograph something new…Leslie’s florist did a presentation of the bouquets to Leslie and Paisley, and their reactions were priceless! And of course, the first look with dad is always one of my favorite parts of the day, and this one certainly did not disappoint. Fast forward to an incredible ceremony under an amazing Easter weekend sky, topped off with an bubble exit down the aisle–we all felt like we were in heaven.
And so it goes…a wonderful dinner, delicious cake, speeches and toasts, first dances… It is so interesting how most weddings have a similar lineup, and yet each one is so unique and special to the couple. It’s always fun to be surround by so much love and joy. If you know me, I’m always hoping for an incredible sunset, and I always joke that at Sunset Bluffs it MUST be that we get just that. And we did! But that wasn’t the end of the night by any means, as Leslie and Quinton got to finish their wedding day with fireworks. It was spectacular!
When you have a wedding day as beautiful as this one, there are always some amazing vendors working behind the scenes. It was a great team, and I loved that I have worked with a number of them before. And of course, I want to give a huge shout out to my assistant photographer, Erin Wodicker. I love uploading her images at the end of the day to see all the beautiful details and angles she captures.
