Ahhhhhh, family pictures…the older I get the more and more I treasure family and all the things family entails…the good, the bad, the crazy…and everything in-between. Our kiddos grow up so fast, and ALL the moments matter. That’s why I think being a family photographer is one of the best gigs around–I get pause with each family I photograph and stop time with each click of the shutter. I love watching the little ones be little during these sessions because one day every mom and dad will wake up and discover those beautiful, messy, adorable littles aren’t so little anymore. Call me a sap, and I probably am a little extra emotional these days as I’m getting ready to drop my oldest daughter off for her freshman year at college in a few days.
Sarah and her family were a dream. Everything about the session lined up just so…the styling, the weather, the location. But more important than all those things is love and connection, fun and laughter. Give me every stick-wielding, bubble-blowing, or dress-twirling little one with their parents and I am in heaven. Regardless of the location. Regardless of the weather. Being with families like this one is always a beautiful place to be.
